My 'Z palette' walkthrough and review

Hi all!!
as many people know, z palettes have been the life and soul of the makeup community as they're just so damn convent.

i have started to incorporate this palette into my everyday life as it becomes so convenient to have shades i love all together.
the palette that i decided to use is an old mac palette, i had originally bought the palette and inserts along with a few of the bottom row colours, but decided that the insert was useless and is much easier for me to use it without.
each of the shades that are not magnetic i bought some magnet tape (just a cheap one from pound land) and cut it to the size of the bottom of the eyeshadow, and voila.

starting with the top two rows of eyeshadows from this palette, if you had read my 'whats in my makeup bag' you would have seen that this palette is in it.

i decided that the packaging on the 'Zoeva Matte' palette was just becoming inconvenient to me, and so i decided to depot it and place it in this palette. from L to R first row
'Nighthawks, Urban Culture, Through the window, Cheap Bar, Lost in thought'
from L to R second row
'Across the Street, Eerily Empty, Chat Late at Night, Lonely City, Two Clocks'

as stated, all of these shades are matte. they're all particularly unique and colours i would not typically use, however when i use them i love the looks that they do create. if you want to see some of the looks i have created please go have a look at my instagram!! @lauren.jonesmua

at the top right of my palette, i have a highlighter that i am trying to use up. it is by Freedom Makeup in the shade 01. i really love this highlighter and remember using it all the time when i first bought it, as you can see by the amount of pan that i have achieved. i think its getting to the point where it may need to be repressed so that i can get to the edges easier. as i said, i love the shade and for only a couple of pound this highlighter is banging.

the third row consists of 3 lonely eyeshadows that wouldn't really fit anywhere else.
the first on the far left being Makeup Geek Cocoa Bear. i bought this shade some time last year thinking it would be my holy grail crease colour but it is FAR too dark. however i do love it in my crease and to add along the lower lash line. the colour itself is so damn pretty! i wish i had used it more, however i never had a palette to put it in. and so this now means i can use the shade when i like and its not similar to any others in this palette.

the next shade is Colourpop Milli. I'm not too big a fan of this formula, it creates hard pan extremely easily. but the colour is so damn pretty i dont want to get rid of it, so for the time being I'm just going to use it and get on with it.

the final row and the last eyeshadow in the third are all by mac and have been slowly gained through time of loving makeup.
the brown shade on the third row is 'Espresso' i use to love this shade, and i use to use it in my brows all the time when i had black hair. now that i dont, i just use it to deepen my crease and i love it just as much.
from L to R on the bottom row
'Dazzle light, Naked Lunch, Brule, Orb, Cork'

as you can see, a few of these shades are well loved, and the others have some rather big dents in. i haven't used these shades for a while, but recently pulled them out and have started to work on them. mac shadows art particularly my favourite, but they do the job well enough for me to create some pretty cool looks.
finally in the bottom right corner is my sad looking Hoola bronzer. this was from a Benefit christmas blush set, from which i pretty much depotted all the shades due to the packaging being too bulky.
nonetheless hoola is an ultimate staple piece in any makeup junkys collection, and i love mine just as much as the next person.

slightly ranty and probably far too long, however I'm just starting to get back into this whole blogging business..

xo lauren.
